Miss Mamie Ammerman of Mellott was born at Wallace July 18, 1883 and died April 23, 1900 the disease being consumption. Her suffering was of long duration which she patiently endured to the close. She united with the Christian Church at Wallace at the age of 14 years and was a faithful member with perfect faith in her Savior’s word and the comfort of having a home in the bright eternity, which made her willing to leave this world where her young life had endured so much of tribulation. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Rollie Gott of Mellott at the Christian Church here. Interment at the Alamo cemetery beside her father who died a few years ago. She leaves a mother and two sisters, a stepfather, and many friends to mourn her loss. The pall bearers were: Misses Goldie Hancock, Bertha Clore, Bertha Stonebraker, Cloa Myers, Mattie Goble, and Gertrude Hybarger.
